What to bring

Each child has their own peg. On the peg, we can accommodate one light bag, with the essentials your child will need for gan. Unfortunately we do not have storage space for more than one bag per child, or to store items that are not essential for the gan day.

At the beginning of the year you should bring:

– 2 milk bottles (if you child is feeding milk more than once a day, otherwise one) if required
– A tin of formula milk if your child uses this, we will tell you when its running down, and ask for a new one
– A water bottle (we will tell you during the year, if and when it needs replacing)
– A dummy to stay in gan, if your child uses one

Every Sunday you should bring:

– A clean set of sheets (130x70cm is the sheet size. Suitable for a ‘mitat maavar’ or regularly size baby cot) and a clean blanket or cover for your child’s rest time
– A clean changing table cover (ideally cloth, not disposable)
– 15 nappies (if your child is still in nappies)
– 1 package of wipes

If we run out of anything during the week – we will tell you, and ask for more!

Every day you should bring:

– 2 sets of spare clothes
– 8 x pairs of spare underwear if your child is toilet training

You should also bring a WET BAG daily.

Wet bags are material bags which we can place children’s dirty or soiled clothes into. Wet bags are reusable and ecological. Click here for a link where you can buy wet bags and here is an AliExpress link!

Please do not leave water bottles in the children’s bags, it makes them too heavy for our hooks!

Each group has a ‘box’ of sleep time treasures. These are things that children have brought in to sleep with. Most children will not require these, but we know that some children always fall asleep with a magic rabbit or a plastic unicorn! These things should be brought in at the beginning of the year, or when relevant and should stay in gan. If you need to buy a ‘duplicate’ of the magic rabbit, so you have one for gan and one for home, we would recommend that you do this.

The less stuff that comes in and out of gan each day for you, the better and more convienient for you! Most children, especially in the older groups will not require a bag most days, apart from their change of clothes, which can stay on their peg until needed.

Please note, we ask you not to bring Contigo bottles with straws, as we don’t accept these.

Naming your things

It is important that all your things are clearly labelled with your child’s name. This includes items of clothing, shoes and bottles.

We recommend Tiny tag as a good labelling option. Please ensure labels are in English or Hebrew and English (not all of our staff can read Hebrew).

There is a fabulous clothes stamp that you can buy, which you can then easily stamp every item of clothing with!
