Schema

Schemas are patterns of repeatable behaviour which can often be noticed in young children’s play. Scheme relates to children’s age and stage of development, and influences Voila_Capture 2016-05-09_12-59-51_pmtheir play choices and preferences. At Rainbow we work hard when we observe children to put what we see into a context – and part of this is looking out for Schema that we recognise, and planning the environment to extend and support children’s schema.
