Instructions for today:
There is a team meeting at 3pm – 5pm (this is the staff meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow evening). Everyone should attend this meeting.
Working for the rest of the day is optional. If you wish to work, you can plan your own day, to make it useful and productive for your own professional development and benefit for the class and gan. If you ARE working, please send Sammy a personal Whatsapp message by 8am, with a short outline of what you plan to work on.
If you wish to go into the nursery, you may physically attend work, and work on things in your classroom, or head to the book clinic and fox books, or create velcro items from the books.
If you are working from home, here is a suggested list of things you can do.
- Complete or work on moodles you have not yet completed
- If you have not yet completed the induction – work on that!
- If you have not yet completed the diploma course – work on moodles for the diploma (Click here for a list)
- Create some videos we can send to children with some ‘at home’ activities they can do (for example, lead a cooking activity, an exercise video, reading a story) – click here to see examples of what we have done in the past. New videos will be added to this page
- Create or make a resource that can be used in your classroom at Rainbow (game, book, posters)
- Use the children’s pictures from your Pix group to make posters or books that show routines (e.g. – This is how we wash our hands). These can be printed, laminated, and displayed
- Liaise with your team leader and complete some planning for the class e.g.; activities, role play ideas for the year, set up plans
- Make a behaviour plan for a specific child that needs help or support, share this with your team leader, finalise it and type it up for the team
- Create a set of specific activities that can be used in the class that focus on your key children’s development and interest
- In agreement with the team leader, create a jobs list, or rota for staff routines that can be displayed in the classroom
- Create a parent guide (as a team, or with a parent) of how things work in your classroom
- Book 1:1 meeting with your team leader or senior to discuss your ideas for the class
- Team leaders and Seniors can work on your planning for the coming months (if relevant)
If you have other ideas of things you wish to work on, you can suggest these.
